ANTIQUING IN VERMONT'S WEST RIVER VALLEY

Come spend the day --better yet, spend a couple of days antiquing in one of Vermont's prettiest valleys.

The West River joins the Connecticut River at Brattleboro, an easy exit off I-91 in the southeast corner of Vermont. Follow the river north on Route 30 nearly thirty miles through Newfane, Townshend, and Jamaica, to Rawsonville, where you turn north on Route 100 for another twenty miles through the Londonderrys and Weston, and finally north on Route 155 to follow the river, quite small now and usually well hidden in the forest, to Mount Holly, where it begins high on the side of a mountain.

All along the way, from Brattleboro to Belmont, there are antique shops  to explore, and, during the Summer and Autumn months, a number of antique shows in and near the valley.  Fine dining and lodging are available throughout the valley, as are many other shopping and recreational opportunities.
